We
were delighted with the result of our Plant Sale which raised
£200, and special thanks to the helpers who worked so hard
providing transport and refreshments. A special mention to Kit
who baked and decorated a beautiful cake which we raffled and raised
£29. Next year we would like to have a Garden Party with
plants for sale. If you would like to be hostess and offer your
garden to us for the day, we would love to hear from you.

CAT SHOW - February 2008
Lesley + cat
The Bristol & District Cat Club held their show at the Christie Miller Centre, Bowerhill, Melksham on Saturday 16th February 2008. We had missed the opportunity last year to have a stall at the same event, but booked for this year 12 months ahead to make sure! It was a wonderful show with so many lovely cats to be seen and judged. Ofcourse with so many cat lovers around, we did have a good day and came away £202 better off.
Val & Christine set up the stall the day before, which made it much easier with the early start the next day. Gillian and Val were there from 8.30 am. on the day with Lesley E taking over from Gillian at lunch time. The stall was very busy all the time, which was great. The card game, with a prize every time, was a huge success, the children especially loved it and came back several times.
QUIZ NITE - 8th October, 2007
Held at the George & Dragon, Rowde, was a tremendous success. It
was well supported by CAT friends and the George & Dragon patrons
too. We made £187 and had a really enjoyable evening, thanks to
the organization of Karine and also Glynne setting the questions.

A new idea for fund raising was suggested and organized by Mary.
Several collections were held outside Sainsburys, Melksham. One Sunday
in November, £165.49 was collected, plus a large kitchen tidy
full of cat food. Thanks due to Karine, Lesley E and Nicola.
A couple of weeks later, Mary, Margaret and Sue collected £154 and more donated food. More collections are planned - a big 'Thank You ' to Sainsburys , Melksham for giving us these opportunities.
